Maundy Thursday Lord’s Supper Service – 7pm, Thursday, March 29, 2018.

This special service isn’t often observed in Baptist churches, as we sometimes erroneously pigeonhole The Lord’s Supper to Fifth Sunday Mornings only – once per “quarter”. Based on the timeline of the Bible as best as we can read it, Jesus and the Twelve observed the Passover on the Thursday before he was crucified on Friday. We want to have this special service on this night in a special, focused effort to learn and experience more about this Holy Week leading up to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday.

Crossroads would love to have visitors for this service, as we do for ALL of our services. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, we would love to have you celebrate with us on this night. Jack Sammons will be leading us in this service, and Rev. Sammons holds The Lord’s Supper and Easter in very, very high regard in every way.

A beautiful feature of this being a Thursday night service is that you don’t have to miss the midweek service at YOUR church in order to worship with us.

If you’re NOT a believer in Jesus Christ – I hope you read this post and can’t forget it. I hope you become so curious that you come to Crossroads to ask us what on earth this is all about. Or, at the very least, so curious that you ask somebody about it. See, what happened during the Holy Week is the most important thing that ever happened.

We’re not fancy. We’re definitely not big. We don’t have a light show (nothing wrong with light shows, we just don’t have one.) Our intention is not to entertain – nothing wrong with entertainment in the right context, but that’s just not what God has led us to be as a church.) We’re just a little group of people who stubbornly keep meeting in a little white building on the side of a little two lane road tucked away in Clyde. If you show up and sit on the back pew, we’re probably going to jump for joy in our hearts and thank you fifty times for coming. Well, maybe just 4 or 5 times. But you’ll make our day awesome if you show up.

And on top of that, you’ll get to do something that a lot of Baptists might have never experienced. If you happen to be something besides a Baptist, but you still believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are incredibly welcome to join us in this worship as well.

7pm Thursday. Hope to see you there.
